For almost as long as we can remember there has been the roar of planes flying overhead from the airfield, then a moment of silence followed by a flutter and screams of excitement coming from the jumpers.

 

On some occasions intricate pattens formed in the sky by now competition winning skydivers.

We’ve enjoyed the watching the parachutists from our back gardens since 1977.

 

From the dark days of 1942 when RAF Langar was built to now a centre for sporting excellence, I’m sure Harby would not be the same without this visual spectacle! MS©
