Harby History Group

The following text was written by Gill Clark one of the original Harby History group members.

In May 2010 Harby History Group was formed with the intention of collecting
historical material relating to Harby, to hand this material as appropriate to the
Record Office for preservation and to publish a book on the history of the
village. Information was collected and edited by Leslie Cram and ‘Harby, Village
Life in the Vale of Belvoir’ was published in November 2010.
Following the success of this book further information was collected and
edited by Leslie and ‘Harby in the Valle of Belvoir 1975 to 2014’ was published.
Leslie also published ‘Harby St. Mary’s Church, an historical guide’ in 2012.
Having fulfilled the work it set out to do, Harby History Group now looks to a
new generation to document life in The Vale of Belvoir as it evolves into the
future.
